Terms of Service

By using RLY, you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short and plain. If something is unclear, reach out before using the service.

1. What RLY Is

RLY is a self-hosted AI agent that monitors your WhatsApp and Telegram accounts and automatically replies to incoming messages on your behalf. It uses large language model APIs (DeepSeek V3, Claude by Anthropic, or OpenAI GPT-4o) to generate replies that match your tone and instructions.

RLY is a tool for personal productivity. It is not a business automation platform, a bulk messaging service, or a spam tool.

RLY runs on infrastructure you own and control. Pankaj Soni (the operator) does not host your messages or manage your server.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use RLY to:

  • Auto-reply to personal or professional messages while you are unavailable
  • Maintain conversations in your personal style using AI
  • Manage replies across WhatsApp and Telegram from a single dashboard

You may not use RLY to:

  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or commercial solicitations
  • Impersonate another person with intent to deceive or defraud
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
  • Violate WhatsApp's, Telegram's, or any AI provider's terms of service
  • Conduct any activity that is illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Circumvent platform security features or automate account creation

Misuse may result in your access being terminated. WhatsApp and Telegram reserve the right to ban accounts that violate their policies — RLY is not responsible for platform-level enforcement decisions.

3. Your Responsibilities

As the person running RLY on your own server, you are responsible for:

  • Securing your VPS, including SSH keys, firewall rules, and software updates
  • Keeping your dashboard login credentials confidential
  • The content of all AI-generated replies sent from your accounts
  • Ensuring your use of RLY complies with applicable laws and platform terms
  • Managing and backing up your own data

RLY acts as a tool — you remain responsible for the output it sends under your identity.

4. AI-Generated Replies

RLY generates replies using AI. AI can make mistakes, misunderstand context, or produce responses that do not accurately reflect your intent. Review your RLY settings carefully and monitor its activity.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated replies may occasionally be inaccurate, off-tone, or inappropriate for the context
  • You are solely responsible for messages sent from your accounts, regardless of whether they were AI-generated
  • RLY is not liable for misunderstandings, relationship impacts, or consequences arising from AI replies

Configure RLY's tone, rules, and reply scope carefully. You can set it to only reply to certain contacts, delay replies for review, or disable auto-reply entirely for sensitive contacts.

5. Data and Privacy

Your data lives on your own server. See the full Privacy Policy for details on what is collected, how it is stored, and what third-party AI providers receive.

By using RLY, you consent to message content being sent to the AI provider you configure (DeepSeek, Anthropic, or OpenAI) for the purpose of generating replies. If you are replying to messages from other people, you are responsible for ensuring that doing so complies with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Uptime and Availability

RLY is provided as-is. We do not guarantee any specific uptime for the dashboard at agent.replylikeyou.com. Your self-hosted backend's availability depends entirely on your own server — we have no control over it.

We may perform maintenance, push updates, or temporarily take the dashboard offline without prior notice. Critical changes will be communicated where possible.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pankaj Soni (operator of RLY) is not liable for:

  • Messages sent by AI that cause misunderstandings, offense, or harm
  • Loss of data due to server failure, misconfiguration, or breach of your own infrastructure
  • Account suspension or bans by WhatsApp, Telegram, or any AI provider
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind

RLY is a personal tool. Use it thoughtfully and monitor it regularly.

8. Termination

You can stop using RLY at any time by uninstalling it from your server. Because RLY is self-hosted, termination is entirely in your hands — there is no account to close on our end.

We reserve the right to revoke access to the dashboard (agent.replylikeyou.com) if we determine your use violates these terms or causes harm to others. We will try to provide notice when possible.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of RLY after an update means you accept the revised terms.

We will not introduce changes that fundamentally alter RLY's nature or create new obligations on your part without reasonable notice.
